• Project Overview: Detection of illegal landfills using satellite data

• Administrative Issue: Early detection of illegal and hazardous landfills! We aim to efficiently monitor them by utilizing satellite data and AI.

• Responsible Department: Housing and Urban Bureau

• Problem to be Solved: Efficiently monitoring whether illegal and hazardous landfills are occurring within the city.

• Demonstration: Using satellite data and aerial images to identify locations of landfills or potential landfills. Based on these results, we will develop a landfill detection program and conduct an analysis regarding the associated risks, verifying whether it contributes to the efficiency of landfill patrol operations.
