Solafune Announces Selection in Microsoft for Startups Program
Solafune, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Microsoft Corporation to participate in Microsoft for Startups and will collaborate in the field of satellite data analysis using Microsoft's resources.

(headquartered in Okinawa, Japan; Ren Uechi, President & CEO; hereinafter "Solafune") is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Microsoft Corporation (Washington, USA; hereinafter "Microsoft") to participate in Microsoft for Startups and will collaborate in the field of satellite data analysis using Microsoft's resources.

Background
In recent years, there has been growing interest in the business use of earth observation data acquired by satellites (satellite data). Solafune is developing its algorithm licensing business through the operation of "Solafune," a data analysis competition platform aimed at utilizing satellite data. Microsoft is also developing Azure, a well-developed infrastructure platform, and Github, a source code management tool, which have been globally adopted by many companies. The collaboration between the two companies will support the business use of satellite data more.
About Collaboration
Through this collaboration, the two companies will strengthen support for business applications, including algorithm development and provision of infrastructure infrastructure, for companies facing challenges in analyzing and using satellite data for business purposes. The two companies will work toward the realization of digital transformation by promoting the use of satellite data in various industries and business sectors.
About Microsoft for Startups

This startup support program aims to create a global ecosystem by connecting startups with new customers and channel partners offered by Microsoft Corporation, which operates in more than 140 countries around the world. Startups selected for the program will receive support for Azure, Github, and other technologies, as well as access to the company's partner network and dedicated resources suitable for business expansion.
