PR Officer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance brand visibility and corporate reputation.

  • Build and maintain strong connections with government agencies, industry associations, and other key stakeholders to support company objectives.

  • Build and nurture relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers.

  • Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, newsletters, and other communications.

  • Monitor media coverage and compile media reports and insights.

  • Plan and coordinate PR campaigns, including events, press conferences, and product launches.

  • Respond to media inquiries and act as a point of contact for journalists.

  • Coordinate internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging across departments.

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and executive teams on branding, content, and messaging alignment.

  • Manage corporate website and owned media updates, including content creation and distribution.

  • Assess PR effectiveness through analytics (e.g., media reach, sentiment, engagement metrics).

  • Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and industry forums.

  • Attend formal and informal dinner meetings with stakeholders, partners, and government officials.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication in Japanese; English (business level) advantageous.

  • Proficient in crafting clear, compelling press materials and corporate content.

  • Effective media and stakeholder relationship management.

  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional networks with government and business leaders.

  • Crisis communication awareness and ability to respond swiftly.

  • Excellent organization and multitasking capabilities, with strong attention to detail.

  • Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate across departments.

  • An analytical mindset to track media performance and derive actionable insights.

Preferred skills and experience (Nice to have)

  • 2+ years in corporate, agency PR, or government relations roles.

  • Experience in B2B or international PR environments.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing, social media strategy, and influencer partnerships.

  • Event planning and execution experience.

  • Comfort using analytics tools or BI platforms.

  • Knowledge of sector-specific media and government landscapes (e.g., tech, sustainability, environment).

  • Dual-language proficiency (Japanese and English) for global communications.

  • Begin your role with support and guidance from the CEO and leadership team

Salary

6,000,000 JPY / year or more

Work Hours

9:00 - 18:00 (including 1 hour break) Five-day work week
