Business Development(Overseas Government & Enterprise Sales)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with overseas government agencies and enterprise clients in target markets

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the assigned territories

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, corporate decision-makers, and industry influencers

  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting and qualification to contract negotiation and closure

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to tailor solutions to client needs and drive customer satisfaction

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business cases to prospective clients, demonstrating the value proposition of our products and services

  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market feedback to management

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads

  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to meet with clients and prospects

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in B2B technology sales or government procurement

  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and building relationships with government agencies or enterprise clients

  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and enterprise sales cycles

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of an organization

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Preferred skills and experience (Nice to have)

  • Master's degree in business administration or related field

  • Experience working with international clients and navigating cultural differences

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in government and enterprise sectors, such as cybersecurity, cloud computing, or digital transformation

  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools

  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive results

  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to target markets

  • CRM software: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar

  • Project management: Github, Notion

  • Internal communication: Slack, Discord, Notion, Zoom, LinkedIn

  1. Sales Presentation or Case Study (1-2 hours)
  • Prepare and deliver a sales presentation or case study demonstrating your approach to identifying and closing new business opportunities

  • Showcase your ability to articulate value propositions and overcome objections

  1. Panel Interview (1-2 hours)
  • Engage in a panel interview with key stakeholders, including the CEO and other members of the leadership team

  • Discuss your fit for the role, leadership style, and approach to driving organizational success

  1. Reference Check and Background Verification
  • Provide references from previous employers or colleagues who can speak to your qualifications and performance

  • Undergo background verification checks as required by company policy

  1. Offer and Onboarding
  • Receive and review the job offer, including salary, commission structure, and other benefits

  • Complete any necessary paperwork and undergo orientation and training as needed

  • Begin your role as Business Development Manager with support and guidance from the sales team

Full-time (after 3-month trial period)
Outsourcing contracts are acceptable (for freelancers)

Location

Flexible (Remote or Tokyo Office-based). Availability for international travel as needed.

Salary

7,000,000 JPY / year or more. Competitive salary with commission and bonus incentives based on performance.

Work Hours

9:00 - 18:00 (including 1 hour break) Five-day work week
